Easy train booking

Needed to get a UK Train Ticket for a trip from London to Manchester. The app was pretty easy to use, found my times fast. Got an Advance Single Ticket, saved a bit compared to what I thought. Overall a good experience.

Booked Eurostar, decent experience

I recently booked Eurostar Tickets from London to Brussels. The booking process on the website was straightforward; I selected my dates, applied my Digital Railcard, and found a good price for a Standard Class Ticket. The e-tickets were sent to my email almost instantly and were easy to add to my phone wallet. I had a quick question about baggage limits, so I used their customer service chat, and they responded within a few minutes, which was helpful. The journey itself was fine, no issues with the tickets. It took about 4 days to receive the refund for a small change I made to my return leg, which was a bit slow but got there. Pretty reliable for international rail.

Loved my Eurostar tickets!

I booked Eurostar Tickets for my trip to Paris and it was so simple! Found a great deal on a Standard Class Ticket. The whole process was quick and easy, from searching to booking. I'm definitely using Trainline again for all my European travel, and I've already told my friends about it!

Good for UK travel, some fees

I used Trainline to book a couple of UK Train Tickets for a family visit. It's really convenient for comparing different times and prices, especially with the Advance tickets. I managed to save a good amount with a National Railcard. My e-ticket downloaded fine. The only thing is, there's a small booking fee which adds up a bit if you're doing multiple bookings, wish that wasn't there. But overall, it was a smooth process and I got to my destination without issues.

Good value for money

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the cheapest way to get from Edinburgh to London. I found some great Advance Single Tickets on Trainline. I also used my 16-25 Railcard, which gave me a nice discount. It felt like I got a really good deal for my money, way better than buying at the station on the day. Worth it.

I'm looking at tickets from Manchester to Glasgow for next month. When's the best time to book to get the cheapest deal?

M Michelle Thomas 2 weeks ago
As far in advance as possible! Like, weeks or even months out. The 'Advance' tickets are way cheaper than anything closer to the day.

D Donna M. 2 weeks ago
Seriously, book now if you know your dates. The price just keeps going up the closer you get, especially for popular routes. Look for those 'Advance Single' tickets.

Quick question about those Railcards. If I get the 26-30 one, do I just link it to my Trainline account and it automatically applies the discount when I search for tickets?

D David F. 1 week ago
Pretty much! You add it to your profile on the app or site, then it should show you the discounted prices when you search. Saves a ton.

S Stephanie Walker 5 days ago
Yep, once it's linked it just works. Just remember to carry the physical/digital railcard with you when you travel.

Planning a last minute trip to Paris from London. Is it even worth checking Trainline for Eurostar tickets or should I just go directly to Eurostar?

L Leah J. 1 week ago
Definitely check! I've sometimes found comparable prices on Trainline, and it's nice to have all my UK and EU tickets in one place.

For Eurostar, it's always good to compare. Sometimes one is slightly cheaper than the other. No harm in looking.

Hey, thinking of using Trainline for a trip from London to Edinburgh next month. Is it actually legit or should I just stick to the official National Rail site?

E Eric Rivera 1 month ago
Yeah it's totally legit. Been using it for years for UK and even some European trips. Never had an issue.

It's real. I've bought Eurostar tickets through them too. Sometimes the prices are even better than direct from the operator, especially with a Railcard.

Anyone used Trainline for bus tickets, like FlixBus or National Express? Are the prices competitive with buying direct?

S Sarah Evans 3 days ago
Yeah, I've booked National Express through them a couple of times. Prices were about the same as direct, just convenient to have it all in one app.

B Betty Jones 3 days ago
I checked for a FlixBus trip once and it was the same price. I think it's more for the convenience than finding a secret discount.
